Not interested in lifting weights or running, but still want to get in a workout? The pool is a great alternative route to fitness that offers many benefits.
Not only is swimming relaxing, it's therapeutic for your muscles and easier on your joints than other recreational activities. Students, faculty and staff may use the pool free of charge with their University Photo ID card, and the public may purchase a pool membership for access to the facilities.
The pool, located in McComb Fieldhouse, is available for open swim and recreational swim (during academic semesters only).
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Noon - 1 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday, 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Monday - Thursday, 8:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Sunday, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
*The pool will be closed on Sunday, Sept. 1,and 2, for Labor Day.
*The pool will be closed after the noon swim on Tuesday, Nov. 26, through Sunday, Dec. 1, for Thanksgiving.
*Starting Nov. 7, two lanes of the pool will be used for a university class during the Tuesday/Thursday 12-1 p.m. open swim. This will conclude on Thursday, Dec. 5.
Community guests may purchase a membership to use the pool by completing an application form below. Memberships can be purchased for use of the pool only, or in combination with use of the sports and recreation dome.
